PARIS France frames demands for withdrawal of German troops from Poland; appropriation of 1,656,000,000 for war approved; British sources say Duke of Windsor and wife flying back to England. BERLIN Germany announces her troops continue advances into Polish corridor and Silesia, and that many Polish cities have been bombed. WARSAW Twenty one civilian dead counted in German air raids on Warsaw; Polish telegraph agency says 130 killed in 94 German raids in two days; communique asserts 33 reich warplanes shot down. WASHINGTON Officials see faint indication general war may be averted; President Roosevelt prepares to address nation by radio tonight. |
