Show Resolution 2011-i to adopt the FY 2011-12 final city budget, was approved by the council by unanimous vote. Resolution 2011-J adopting the FY 2011-12 Interlocal Agreement with Weber County for animal services was approved unanimously in the August 18,2011, meeting. This continues the animal control services with the county with a slight increase in cost. The Resolution was approved unanimously. Resolution 2011 -K cancelling the 2011 municipal election was adopted by unanimous vote . It will take effect after September 22, 2011, if no one has filed as a write-in candidate. The resolution was adopted by unanimous vote at the September 15, 2011, meeting. Resolution 2011-L approving Interlocal Agreement with Weber County for R.A.M.P. funds, was adopted unanimously.. The city has obtained a R.A.M.P. grant for $449,000 to install two river bridges and construct a mile of river trail. This is a joint project with West Haven City and Weber County. Resolution 2011-M, to begin the process of an election for a cemetery district, and setting a public hearing for January 19, 2012, was passed unanimously by the council, at the December 15, 2011, Council Meeting. Proclamations Proclamation 2011-01 was signed by Mayor Keith Butler naming April 21, 2011, as Arbor Day. Proclamation 2011-02 designated the week of November 6 to 12, 2011, as Veterans Week. Executive Orders Executive Order 2011-01 under Mayor Butler's signature on May 30, 2011, proclaimed the flooding in the city a local disaster, effective for 30 days. Executive Order 2011-02 extended the local disaster period by thirty days, at the request of Weber County officials. Finance/Money Matters Concern was expressed in January over the audio/visual system in the legislative chambers working properly, especially in the recording of meetings. Mr. Morris asked the council to consider updating the system, using some of the surplus capital improvements to pay the cost. President Ilium noted the need to have equipment for presentations like the WFRC at the last meeting. A motion to have the research done on an upgraded audio/visual system carried with all in favor. In February, Mr. Morris presented the bids that the city has received about upgrading the audio/visual system, and suggested that more bids should be sought, and the results brought to the council later. The matter was dropped due to budget constraints. At the May 19, 2011, City Council Meeting, money matters played a major role. City Administrator Bill Morris presented the tentative budget for the Pioneer Special District for the year ending June 30, 2012. The District includes secondary pressure irrigation at the Marriott Park and three subdivisions. The projected amount for Fiscal Year 2011-12 shows revenue and expenditures of about $48,000. This money is collected from users in the new subdivisions within the district, and the primary expense is to |
