Millner was working as a mason for AK Masonry out of Riverton at a construc tion site at the Central Weber Sewer Facility, 2618 W. Pioneer Road, said Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Matthew Bell. The construction project is for a wastewater treatment plant expansion. Bell said it is unknown what caused Millner to fall about 50 to 60 feet from the scaffolding. He said officials received a call just after 8 a.m. Thursday that there had been a fall, and medical personnel arrived to treat the man. Millner was transported to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden but died from his injuries. A medical helicopter also was called, but Bell was unsure if they responded. Bell said there may have been no eyewitnesses to the fall, but after hearing a loud crash, many workers realized the man had fallen and JESSICA MILLER/Standard-Examiner A 34-year-old mason was killed after falling 50 to 60 feet from scaffolding while working on a construction site at the Central Weber Sewer Facility in Marriott-Slaterville on Thursday. assisted Millner before medical help arrived.
