Standard-Examiner staff jlopez@standard.net NORTH OGDEN — Intense rainfall early Monday morning caused drainage problems and flooding for some residents in the Top of Utah. The water finally subsided after a few hours, but North Ogden Mayor Richard Harris said crews worked on the retention basins that were suddenly inundated. "This put down so much water so that this flooded our basins," Harris said. National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Seman said the rain came from a tropical plume of moisture that passed through the northern part of the state and interacted ERIN HOOLEY/Standard-Examiner Water is pumped out of the yard and driveway from a house on Pioneer Road in Ogden on Monday.
