Show September 18, 2011 October 3, 2011 Shannon Marie (Reed) Croft MARRIOTT/SLATERVILLE - Shannon Marie Reed Croft, 68, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at her home. Born July 16, 1942 in Devil's Slide, Utah, the daughter of Louis and Marie June Wright Reed. Shannon was reared and educated in Mor-1 gan, graduating from Morgan High School in 1960. Shannon married Raymond Earl Croft on May 28, 1965 in Elko, Nevada. He preceded her in death on April 7,1999. She was a member of the LDS Church. Shannon's son Randy was adopted by her mother and raised with his uncle as an adopted brother. For many years she lovingly helped care for her nephew Aaron, who had special needs. She loved playing the guitar while singing country songs, sewing, and vacations at her Idaho cabin near Liberty Canyon. Last June she attended her 50 year class reunion in Morgan. Shannon had a great time. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her son, Randy Burgess, Ogden; grandson, Christopher Burgess, brother, Stanley Burgess, Ogden; and nephew, Aaron Burgess. Preceded in death by her husband and parents. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at North Morgan Cemetery. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com Mark Norman Lundquist Mark Norman Lundquist, 56, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 18, 2011 due to natural causes. Mark was born in Ogden, Utah on February 11, 1955 to Robert Edward Lundquist and Martha Joy Norman Lundquist. Mark graduated from " Weber High School in 1973. He attended Weber State College where he pursued his passion for golf. Mark married Nancy Duman in Scio, Oregon on April 30, 1983. They were later divorced. Mark and Nancy had two wonderful sons, Jared Robert (26) and Matthew Kirk (23) whom he cherished. Mark worked in several industries throughout his career, most notably the years he spent as a PGA Teaching Professional at various golf courses in Oregon. He cherished the years he spent running a duck-hunting club on the 99 acres he owned in western Oregon. As a young boy, Mark treasured his time growing up on Grandpas dairy farm. As an adult, his hobbies and interests included cooking, gardening, and working on cars and small engines. He also enjoyed research on the computer, watching "House" and his daily conversations with his mom. He is survived by his two boys, Jared and Kirk, both of Salem, Oregon, his mother Joy Jex (Brent), his stepmother Pauline Lundquist, his sisters Lisa Berlin (Gus), Robyn Zellmer (Scott), Sarah Elizabeth Lundquist, and five step-siblings, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful companion, his golden retriever, Princess. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Lundquist. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Friends may call at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. on Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 7 p.m. and also Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be sent to ,the family at www.myers-mortuary.com Paul Leon Barrow MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE - Paul passed away on October 3, 2011, after bravely battling Pulmonary Fibrosis for five years. He was born on March 14, 1932 in his grandmother's home in West Weber, to Edward Barrow and Maude Hipwell Barrow Conger. He was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1951. He served in the Korean War. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Webb on March 26, 1954. They lived in Harrisville, Layton and Marriott-Slaterville. They had 57 years together. Paul was employed by Swift & Co. and retired as a general contractor. Paul loved horses and headed the Jr. Posse in Harrisville for 10 years. He taught his children and neighbors to water ski. He was a big part of his grand children's lives, enjoying time with them at Bear Lake and Wolf Lodge. Paul and Barbara spent over 20 winters in Lake Havasu, where they made many friends and kept in contact with them. Paul loved his family dearly and was a great-grandpa. He was generous and giving. He enjoyed trips to Wendover, playing cards, going to horse races, golfing and all sports. Paul had many friends and like Will Rogers, he never met a man he didn't like. Paul is survived by his wife Barbara; children, Reed Barrow of Colorado, Scot (Carrie) Barrow of Oregon, and Paula (Mark) Moffitt of Missouri; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with two on the way; three brothers, Clair Barrow, Blaine (Launa) Barrow, and Dean (Ann) Barrow; two sisters, Nelda Carlos and Carma (Floyd) Smith; and three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Harper, Ruby Harper, and Dixie Fowles. The family wishes to thank Summit Hospice, especially his R.N. and Doctor, and the nurses and doctors of I.H.C. Hospice for their loving care, also a special niece, Shelley Madsen. His family is thankful for his brothers that visited him every week as well as all the wonderful neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah. There will be a viewing on Friday, the 7th from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and on Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Summit Hospice.
