Show August 6, 2011 Hodson Hodson Carl William Hodson of Marriott-Slaterville will celebrate his 90th birthday. Family and friends may attend an open house in his honor from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, ^^^^^^^ Aug. 6, at Marriott Park, 1000 S. 1200 West. In case of inclement weather, the Marriott-Slaterville meeting house, 250 N. 1500 West, has been reserved. No gifts. Born Aug. 4, 1921, in Marriott to Delbert and Elizabeth Hodson, he is a graduate of Weber High School. He married Louise McFar- land (deceased) in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple on June 12,1941. He served during World War II, farmed for many years, worked for Quaker Oats, and then worked as an electrician. He served as high councilor, bishop, bishop's counselor, Young Men's counselor, Sunday School superintendent and home teacher in the LDS Church. He and his wife served 16 years as coordinators for Spanish and Italian name extraction. His children and spouses are Launa and Blaine Barrow, Brent and RaeDene Hodson, Nancy and Thane Ritter (deceased), Charlene and David Ottley, Joan and Roger Poulsen, Ronald and Wendy Hodson, Terrie and Ken- dell Phillips, and Judy and Gary Symes. He has 33 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. 239 |
