Show Poor Man's Pudding Cake Lisa Colburn Sauce 11/2 c. brown sugar 2tsp. Margarine or butter 3/4 c. water Mix the sauce ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cool slightly while making the cake mixture. Cake 1 c. flour 11/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 c. milk Mix all cake ingredients together and pour into a greased 8 X 8-inch baking pan. Pour the hot sauce mixture over the cake mixture. Do not mix together. Bake the cake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until the cake springs back when touched. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
