Kent Bachman Takes Reins As President Of Alumni Association ni The Weber State College AlumAssociation has a new resident, slate of officers and ard members following annual elections. L. Kent Bachman took over reins as president, succeeding Dr. Russell Carruth. Mr. Bachman has been serving as first vice president. Automatically taking over as first vice president was former second vice president Dr. W. Michael Burdett. Doug Brian was elected second vice president. Bachman attended again from 1962 to 1963. He earned a bachelor degree and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah. An attorney, he serves as referee in First District Juvenile Court. He is co-founder of the Kiwanis sponsored Circle-K Club at Weber State. He is a member of the Weber County Bar Association, Utah State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Internation- al Footprinter Association. New board members are Mrs. Hazel Robertson, Paul Checketts, 1a HAZEL ROBERTSON LE Gets Most Votes Others who take seats on the alumni board for the coming year are Dr. Carruth as_ pastpresident; Rex Frasier, student body. president; Mrs. Melba Lehner, president of Emeritus Faculty, and Junius R. Elected by a vote of alumni members, Mr. Brian Robertson was born and with the theater department, ap- Mr. Brian graduated from Weber College in 1956 and received a bachelor degree from the University of Utah in 1958 and master’s degree in 1968. Registered as a_ professional engineer in the state of Utah, he is owner and operator of Concise Engineering and Manufacturing Company. Presently serving as city councilman in Fruit Heights, Mr. Brian has been a member of the board of directors of the Alumni She is an active member of the LDS Church and serves in several auxiliaries. All new officers and board members were installed during the annual alumni Mr. Checketts graduated from Weber State College in 1971 and earned a master of education degree from Brigham Young University this year. Active in fraternities and the LDS Student Association while at Weber State, Mr. Checketts is presently employed as a teacher at the Weber LDS Seminary. Miss Skeen, a 1970 graduate of Weber State College, taught kindergarten classes in Kamas following her graduation. She is presently teaching first grade students in Ogden. degree from of an Weber associate College, Ogden Kiwanis Club and is active on the local Boy Scout Board and in the LDS Church. Mr. Ligori received a bachelor degree from Weber State in 1973 and attended Northern Arizona University as a graduate student. He was an active Weber State student, involved in many campus organizations. He has been a delegate to the Youth in Government program sponsored by Ogden City and Community tion Program. é KENT B.
