Show < ——— Page 3 STEPHEN R. BENNION has been appointed vice president of taxes for Envirotech Corporation, Menlo Park, Calif. He is responsible for worldwide corporate tax administration. He has served as director of taxes since joining Envirotech in 1970. Previously he was with the Internal Revenue Service in Salt Lake City, and with Ernst and Ernst in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. He holds a B.S. degree in accounting from WSC and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He lives in Los Altos, Calif., with his wife and three children. LOYAL CHRISTENSEN NYE, a 1941 graduate, recently had a children’s book published by Abingdon Press entitled “What Color Am I?’’ Mrs. Nye lives in Kensington, Maryland. BRENT E. JOHNS, 28, has opened a law practice in Weber Valley Bank Building, Ogden. A graduate of WSC, he received his juris doctor degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School of BYU. While at Weber State he held offices in the studentbody and was a member of the campus long-range planning committee and the dean’s council. He served as an intern to former Sen. Frank E. Moss. He is married to the former Becky Spackman of Brigham City. LLOYD V. HOWERTON, Colorado Springs, and a resident of a_ professional { representative of Pfizer Laboratories Division, Pfizer Inc., recently completed a sophisticated medical information program at the company’s New York Training Center. Mr. Howerton received a B.S. in History from WSC. electronics E. ELIAS SPENCER PETERSON, 71, Taylor, died at his home Nov. 6, 1977. He had -been a dairy farmer and was a member of of the Weber County Farm Bureau. In 1967 he graduated with honors in art from WSC. He had served an LDS mission to Northern California in 1952-53. He is survived by his wife, the former books and magazines before moving to Minneapolis. She graduated from Weber High School, WSC and BYU in 1959. CHARLES SIDNEY NOBLE, 57, Centerville, formerly of Ogden, died Nov. 22 of a heart ailment. He graduated from Ogden High, WSC and BYU and did graduate work. He was BYU studentbody president. He received his master’s degree from Cleveland State University. Educator’s FERGUSON, merly employed at Univac in Salt Lake City. He attended WSC and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. an Ogden hospital. She had been a teacher in the Summit County schools . J. suffered in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Sparks played basketball for Vincennes University, a junior college, and then continued his studies and basketball career at WSC. He was named to the All Conference Team and most valuable player in the Golden Spike Tourney in 1968. He began his coaching career at WSC in 1970 and went to Vincennes in 1971.
