Humiston and Rich were Second Team selections in 1979, while Massey was named to the first team for the second year in a row. BILL GRILZ, a senior nose tackle, was named to the Second Team, while Honorable Mention honors went to defensive linemen TIM SMALL and CURTIS McGHAN and defensive back BRUCE PERRY. No one from Weber State made the First ‘Team on offense, but: wide receiver CURT MILLER and offensive guard LAWRENCE LIVINGSTON both made the Second Team. Leading the Lady Wildcats in scoring and rebounding is sophomore Cindy Stumph (6-4) who was all-conference last year as a freshman. Stumph is currently averaging 24.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per game with a game-high 38 points against the University of Nebraska at the Cal Women’s Invitational Tournament in Berkeley which was held Dec. 4 through 6. Stumph set a new single game record at the tournament with her 38 points and was subsequently named to the Cal Invitational All-Tournament Team. Weber State lost to Nebraska 96-92 in the first round of the Cal _ Invitational, defeated Colorado State 88-64 in the second round, and lost to Pepperdine University 94-82 in the consolation finals. During league play, Weber State et Big Sky conference competes in the Intermountain Athletic Conference Mountain Division against Idaho State, Colorado, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona and Utah State.
