The building will be named after Hoover Dam builder Edmund Orson Wattis, former president of the Utah construction company, whose surviving family members donated $500,000 toward its construction. The Dean said that another $1.5 million was obtained in a fund raising drive from alumni and businesses from all over Utah and out-of-state as well. “There are multitudinous requests for funds,’’ Sessions said, “and because they have elected to share with us is an indication of support and faith in our school.” “People know what the school has done and what it can do,” Sessions continued. “It is an in- vestment in our present and future, in contrast to being attributed to solely a charitable contribution. Sessions described the new structure as having 15 case-type classrooms, which will accommodate 1,400 students per hour.
