MIKE NICHTER (6-0, 222), from Anaheim, CA, with a 3.26 in Marketing was an Honorable Mention selection. DANNY RICH also was named to the District Seven All-Academic First Team. District Seven includes schools located in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. Getting back to the team, they set or tied 14 school records, mostly in the passing department. As a team, Weber State attempted 481 passes, completed 247 for 2,649 yards and 23 touchdowns - all school records. Individually, CURT MILLER (6-3, 205), from Lake Stevens, Washington, set FIVE SCHOOL RECORDS. They are: 1. TOTAL PASSES CAUGHT FOR CAREER (102) 2. TOUCHDOWN PASSES CAUGHT FOR CAREER (14) 38. JUNIOR CROCKETT (5-10, 160), from Chicago Heights, Illinois, broke the school record for the longest kickoff return, with a 100 yard touchdown run (old record was 97). Weber and Idaho State played a triple-overtimer in the last game of the regular season, with ISU winning 33-30 in Pocatello in the most exciting game ever played in the Big Sky Conference. Sports Information Director Distance runner CARMEN GARDUNO earned All-American honors and became Weber State’s first woman ALL-AMERICAN at the recent AIAW National Cross Country Championship in Pocatello, Idaho. Carmen placed fourth in the National Division II run on . , November 21 with a time of 18:26. The top 25 finishers in each division were awarded All-American honors. Mexico, Carmen is a sophomore at Weber State. In addition to her honors in cross country, Carmen was also the 1981 Region 7 Champion : in the 3,000-meter run (indoor) and 5,000-meter run (outdoor).
