Show DUNN, ’69, is a new dentist following studies at Georgetown ‘ University in Washington, D.C. During the regular course of study Dr. Dunn more than doubled certain of the clincial requirements of the University. STEVEN R. BILLINGS, ’69, is the new manager of the new cafe at 3303 Washington Blvd, Anthony’s Restaurant. He has been with Anthony’s on Harrison near the campus since April 1971. NEAL GUNNERSON, ’69, has been awarded a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Utah. He now plans to practise law in the Salt Lake City, area. He is married to the former Alaina Rasmussen. JERRY G. CAMPBELL, ’69, plans to do legal work in the Salt Lake City area following completion of Law School. While at the University he has worked with the Law Placement and Clinical Program. He is married to the former JoAnne Glissmeyer BRUCE BAILEY, ’69, is the recipient of a $2,700 grant, plus a waiver of tuition Mr. Bailey will continue his studies at the University of Utah where he is now working on a doctorate degree in political science, while teaching freshman classes in political science. TOM WELSH, ’69, has opened a new law practice in Ogden as a corporate attorney for Smith’s Management Corporation. He recently graduated with honors from George Washington Law School, in Washington, D.C. While in school he served on the staff of Senator Wallace F. Bennett. He is a member of Blue Key National Honor Fraternity. While he was at Weber State he was studentbody president and graduated Cum Laude. He is married to the former Alma Jean Fowler. RICHARD T JUDD, ’70, was recently awarded a masters degree at BYU in public administration. While he was attending graduate school Mr. Judd worked as an administrative assistant to the Provo mayor. He is married to the former Karen Sue Cox, He has accepted the position of the administrative assistant to the city manager of Corvallis, Oregon. LOWELL R. DAWSON, ’70, received his doctorate in dental surgery at Loyola University He was awarded a post doctoral fellowship from the University of Utah College of Medicine where he will be working towards a PhD in anatomy, and working partime as a dentist in the Salt Lake Area. He is married to the former Joyce Tullis. HOWARD J WATERS, was recently appointed assistant professor of communications arts at Porterville College in California. He is married to the former Gail Datwyler. GORDON E MOSS ’56, was awarded a doctorate in medical sociology at Eastern ' Michigan University. He has written a book on social stress to be published soon. He and his wife, Carolee plan to live in Ann Arbor, Michigan. VAN CHRISTENSEN, LEEUWEN, AND are now working with the Medical Assistant Program in Louisville, Kentucky, as dental students working on a summer grant. A mobile dental unit, provided by the State Department of Health, will give 72 five year old children from the Head Start Program complete dental care. JIMMY BOSWELL, ’61 has been installed as president of the Northern Utah chpater of the American Institute of Banking. He is the mortage loan interviewer for the First Security Bank of Ogden. The Northern Utah chapter has more than 200 members who spent some 4,185 hours in educational projects during the past year. KENNETH JOHNSON, ’52 is the new administrator of the McKay-Dee Hospital. While at Weber State he was a former prominent athlete. After receiving his masters degree in Hospital at the University of Minnesota he served his residency at San Jose Hospital. He was. assistant administrator of Yakima Valley Memorial hospital before joining the staff of LDS Hospital in Salt Lake as assistant administrator. From there he moved to Primary Children’s Hospital as administrator. CONRAD JACOBSON, ’68, a master’s candidate and graduate instructor of German at the University of Mississippi will attend the University of Munich, Germany, where he will study modern German literature on a Fulbright Fellowship for one year. His wife is the former Carolyn Doxey, She plans to:‘accompany him to Germany for his term of study. STEVEN G LUTHY was named manager of the First Security bank’s branch office in South Ogden. A graduate of Weber State College he has been assistant manager of the Washington Avenue drive in office since 1971. ' GRANT S. WILLIAMS, ’48 has been named manager of the Ogden Social Security Office. The district encompasses 10,012 square mile, and has under its jurisdictions Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich and Summitt Counties. His wife is the former Rolene Hunter. SUSAN STARK:’70 has been selected for membership in the University of Utah’s chapter of Mortar Board, a senior woman students honorary organization. Miss Stark is majoring in journalism and works with the staff of the ‘‘Daily Utah Chronicle’’, the university newspaper. While at Weber State she was feature editor for the “‘Signpost’’ DARRELL R. LUND ’54 band director at Bonneville High School, and former Weber State College Alumnus, has been awarded a PhD degree in music by the University of tah. While at Weber State he was on the onor roll. He is married to the former Ivaloo Toomer. STEVEN E. KAMMEYER ’66 has received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Utah. He earned the Deans Award, was the senior class president, and spoke at the convocation. He also was editor of the medical school yearbook. For the past two years he has served as a member of the admissions committee in the College of Mdeicine. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical fraternity, being elected president his senior year. He will serve his internship at Naval Hospital in San Diego, Ca. He is married to the former Lany Bettridge. MRS. JENNIE FIRTH former student. at Weber Academy celebrated her 80th birthday recently. Mrs. Firth has_ held positions in every organization in the LDS church. She served as a Relief Society President and Sunday school teacher for 35 years. She is the mother of three sons and two daughters. She also has 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildfen. In Memorium NORMAN P. JEPPSON, 51, died June 2, 1972 of a heart ailment. He was a business analyst for Thiokol Chemical Corp. and a veteran of World War II. CHARLES WILLIAMS TONKS, 80, died May 25, 1972 of natural causes. He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in many positions. He had been a farmer in Morgan all of his life. WILFORD H. SHURTLIFF,, 85, died in St. George of Cancer, April 27, 1972. MITSUKO H. ENOMOTO, 51, died in the University Hospital on March 15, 1972. She had been employed at HAFB in the driver’s training division and was a member of the Ogden Japanese Christian Church. DAVID J. GRANT 49, died of cancer in January. He owned and operated the David Grant Auto Sales, was a Sunday School Teacher, and had worked with the Boy Scouts. RUBY GRIFFIN ADAM82, died in June 1972 of natural causes. She had spent most of her liftime in the Ogden area. EUGENE BINGHAM 90, Died June 2, 1972 of natural causes. He had a long active life in LDS church service, having served in numerous positions of leadership. VALREE SHARON WRIGHT, 35, died of natural causes on May 26, 1972. A native of Canada, Mrs. Wright spent most of her early years in Canada and Alaska. She came to Utah in 1955. She was very active in the LDS church relief society. HAYNES N. OBERG 48, died of cancer May 25, 1972. He had been a petroleum products distributor for Shell Oil Company of Euguen Oregon, returning to the Ogden area in 1969. During World War II he served as an AF pilot. ANN HERDTI WARNER, 48, died June 2, 1972 with her husband and daughter when their plane crashed near San Bernadino, California. DORIS JILL WARNER 38, died May 23, 1972 at her home of natural causes. She had been active in the Cub Scout Program. RICHARD MILLER, 52, died in May. He had been a switchman for the U.P. RR and served in the South Pacific with the USAF during World War II. TALMAGE YOUNG DELANGE, 64 died June 15, 1972 of a heart attack in California where he and his wife were visiting sons. He had served as dean of the College of Business and had been associated with Weber State College since 1946. He was an active LDS church worker and a member of the Weber State Boosters Club. DAVID EARL ALLEN 24, died July 4, following an extended illness. He was a senior at Weber State where he was secretary of Sigma Delta Pi and very active in the LDS Weber State College 2nd Ward. VELMA PAYNE MURDOCK, 52, died of natural causes in Lake Forest, Ill. Mrs. Murdock was a former member of Otyokwa Club when she attended Weber State College and served as president of the Alumni of that club. Pee KEITH R. J. eo GORDON JAMES ~ PETER DAVID C, FLINDERS, ’68, received a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Utah. Following his residency requirements, which will take him to Ventura County Hospital in California for the next 3 years, Dr. Flinders plans to do family practice in Utah. During 1971 Dr. Flinders spent 3 months in Jerusalem Israel in the Hadassah Medical School as one of 40 United States medical students for foreign research fellowship.
