Show March 1976 Page 7 Comment CLASS NOTES MR. AND MRS. JOHN EDWARDS, Roy, are both teaching physical education at the international school in Drahran, Saudi Arabia. It will be a two-year teaching assignment. Both are graduates of Weber State College. Mrs. Edwards is the former Linda Smith. D. DEWEY SOLOMON, received a National Fellowship Award which will be used to fund studies toward completion of a doctorate degree. He is presently doing research in the field of bio-materials and working on his master’s degree at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, where he plans to use the fellowship. He is a Weber State College graduate and married to the former Jann Hales. EDGAR M. DENNY has been named administrator of the Utah Job Service. Mr. Denny joined the Job Service in 1954 and has served as administrator and occupational analyst, personnel officer, appeals referee, deputy administrator and general counsel. He holds degrees from Weber State: College and Utah State University. In 1964 he received his law degree from the University of Utah. MICHAEL A. GROW and his wife, LESLIE ROUSE GROW, received advanced degrees from George Washington University at the same time. Mr. Grow received his Juris Dcotor degree. He is a graduate of Weber State College where he earned a degree in political science. He worked as an intern with the Utah legislature and served as a congressional intern in the office of Sen. Frank E. Moss, D-Utah. He is employed with a law firm in Virginia. Mrs. Grow earned a master of arts degree in education and is currently a prescriptive learning teacher. She graduated from Weber State College in 1971. D. KELLY OGDEN has been selected by the Department of Travel Study at BYU to be assistant director of the Semester Abroad Program in Israel. He is on the study tour from January to June of 1976. He will be administrative assistant to the director and will teach New Testament courses. He is a graduate of Weber State College and received a master’s degree in International Education at BYU. DONALD CHARLES HUGHES JR. has been selected as the new Riverdale, Utah Justice of the Peace. He is a graduate of the BYU Law School and a 1973 Weber State College graduate. He was president of the WSC Senate, legislative vice president of the associated students and held a four-year debate scholarship. His wife is the former Pat Farr. They have one son. RONALD L. HERRICK has been elected president of the Utah Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association. He is director of the physical therapy department at McKay-Dee Hospital and is a graduate of Weber State College, U of U. and the University of Southern California. Traveling Classroom Boston, New York and other cities rich in early American History will be included in a travel study program next summer sponsored by Weber State College Continuing Education. The tour, open to families and persons of all ages, will be conducted from June 15 through 29. The 14-day travel costs $698 per individual, which covers transportation, breakfasts, sightseeing and excursions, tour guides and other expenses. “The tour is being conducted as a Bicentennial science, A.K. Course material has _ been arranged by Weber State faculty members,’’ she said. The travelers may take credit but are welcome without taking credit. Accompanying the students on this travel study program are Dr. Alten Davis, professor of political Morris R. Sterrett, in- structor in police science and Dr. Neila Seshachari, lecturer in the English department. If students take credit during the tour they must pay tuition, which will be additional to the $698 touring costs as follows: $86 for political science credit, and $58 for American Literature credit, or a total of $144 for the seven credit hours offered in both fields. The travel study group will leave by jet from Salt Lake City International Airport June 15 and return from Wash ington, D.C. airport June 29. Their itinerary includes Boston, three days; New York, four days; Philadelphia, two days; Gettysburg, one day, and Washington D.C., five days. All arrangements for hotel, excursions and other accommodations have been made by the WSC Travel Study Program Division of Continuing Education and Study Tours of America, Mrs. Stevenson said. The enrollees must also buy their lunch and dinner, which were made optional as this gives the student flexibility in choice of restaurants. Life and accident insurance costs each an additional $3.50. Mrs. Stevenson said students must pay $100 of the $698 when they register. Registration is to be made with Mrs. Stevenson at her office in Continuing Education Center on campus. Additional travel study tours will be made next summer.
