He had been a transportation technician for the Utah Department of Transportation since 1968 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He attended WSC. Surviving are his wife, the former Cheryl Mordaunt and one son. JANE August 5, educated Surviving Rackham JOHN K. RACKHAM, 61, Ogden, died of cancer. She was reared and in Ogden and attended WSC. are her husband, Laurence D. and one daughter. FRANK POWELL, 59, Ogden, died August 3, following a long illness. He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1971 after 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II and attended WSC and the U of U. He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle Ellen Bingham, one son and two daughters. JENNIS FARLEY, RIDGES 74, Salt Lake City, died July 11, at her home after a lingering illness. University of Utah and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. ANDREW JACKSON JONES, 73, Orem, died June 29, in a Provo hospital. Mr. Jones taught school for over 50 years. He was employed at BYU, WSC and the U of U and was a principal in Box Elder and Duchesne School Districts and an administrator in Madera County, Calif. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Jensen Ottosen, two daughters, one stepdaughter and one stepson. DELLA LUELLA SHAW CHANDLER, 96, North Ogden, died July 14, of natural lifelong resident of causes, She was a Weber attended and Ogden North Academy. Her husband, Calvin (Harry) Chandler, died in 1940. She is survived by two sons and four daughters. W. SUN AND SHADOW creates patterns through roof of Dee Events Center. FRANKLIN RICHARDS, WILSON WILLIAMS, 90, Salt Lake City, died at the home of a son in Walnut Creek, California, Aug. 3, of causes incident to age. She was a graduate of Weber Academy. Her husband, George Clinton Wilson, died in 1948. She is survived by a son and a daughter. 69, Ogden, died July 16 of natural causes. EDWARD LEE HILL, 49, Bountiful, died July 24 of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Hill founded and was president of Climate Control Inc., a SLC mechanical contracting firm. He has been a partner in D.A. Olsen Co., another heating mechanical contracting company. He had served as president of the Utah Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors Association. He graduated from WSC. His wife, the former Joyce N. Anderson, and one son and one daughter, survive him. JAMES A. BROWN, 70, Brigham City, died July 25, after a long illness. He was a graduate of Weber Academy. He had been a machinist for the Southern Pacific Co., and had been superintendent of Smith’s Canning and Freezing for 25 years. He was maintenance foreman at Thiokol Corp. for years. Surviving are his wife, the former Fern Stokes, and two daughters. GARY ANDERSON, 29, Sunset, died July 27, in a Salt Lake City hospital of cancer. Mr. Anderson graduated from WSC in 1974. He was a supply clerk at Hill Air Force Base and a first sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is survived by his wife, the former May Ann Romer, and one daughter. ROBERT (BOB) V. BELNAP, 58, died July 28, of a heart attack. He attended WSC where he played football on the team that won the conference in 1937. He was a general contractor and master electrician. He started the Belnap Construction Co., in 1946. He was a charter member and former commander and organizer of the Weber County Sheriff’s Jeep Patrol and the state organization. Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Mae Faddis, one son and two daughters. GLEN J. QUILLINAN, 71, Uintah, died July 1, following a lingering illness. He founded and operated the Quillinan Refrigeration Sales in Ogden for 30 years until 1961. He later worked for the Frigidaire Corp. in Salt Lake City and Hill Air Force Base as a technician in climate control. He had also taught at the Vocational School at WSC. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Chandler and one son, |
