Show Page4 Eleven New Alumni at 2 ner weer . ome Se ee President Begins Term The new presicent of the Weber State College Alumni Association accepted the gavel from past president Dr. Michael Burdett at the Alumni Banquet during Homecoming. A new slate of officers and board members was also announced. Doug Brian will serve as President for the ’76-77 year, with Tim Morris as first vice president and Kent B. Peterse::, second vice president. New board members are Dennis DeBoer, Stephen Fazier, L wis Joseph, Ronald George, Michael Lyon, Barbara Skeen, Heinz Bruehl, Robert Wallace, O.M. Clark, Iah Naisbitt Giles and Jeff Flamm, studentbody president. President Brian graduated from Weber College in 1956 and received a. B.S. degree from the University of Utah in 1958 and M.S. degree in 1968. He is owner and operator of Concise Manufacturing and Engineering Co. and is registered as a professional engineer. Presently serving as city councilman in Fruit Heights, Mr. Brian has been a member of the board of directors of the Alumni Association. Kent B. Petersen, second Mr. Petersen is presently Lewis Joseph self- employed at Petersen Motor Co. as general manager and he and his wife, Nyla, live in Ogden. His civic work includes serving as president of the South Ogden Kiwanis and Ogden Chapter of Utah Ronald G. George LEWIS JOSEPH RONALD Lewis Joseph is currently State Director for the Utah Babe Ruth Baseball Program. Chairman of the Ogden City Parks and Recreation Commission, he is also past commander of the American Legion and active in youth athletic programs, coaching both baseball and basketball for the past 15 years. He and his wife are both alumni of Weber State College and parents of vice president, graduated from Weber State Collége in 1956 and completed his B.S. from the University of Utah in 1958. Board Members Automobile Association. He is a member of the Ogden Chamber of Commerce and current vice-president of the Denver Regional Chrysler Plymouth Dealer Council and Lt. Governor of Division Three Kiwanis club. He is currently serving on the WSC Alumni Board. Bountiful, Salt Lake is Banking National City. He earned an M.A. from Harvard Graduate School of Arts & Sciences in Fast Asian Regional Studies, his B.A. BARBARA JEFFREY are WSC E. SKEEN Barbara E. Skeen is presently teaching at Polk Elementary School in Ogden. She has also taught school in Kamas. She is a 1970 WSC graduate with a B.A. degree. Her activities at the college included AWS vice president, member of the Sophomore and Junior Council, ROBERT Jeffery Flamm Bank, George, International Zions First alumni. He recently retired as a supervisor for Air Force Logistics after 34 years of service. Senior Class Secretary and vice president of Tau Theta .Nu Sorority. Currently she is serving her second year as a member of the WSC Alumni Board of Directors. Barbara E. Skeen G. manager of Department, from BYU and attended WSC for two years where he helped to organize the WSC Chapter of Delta Phi Kappa, and belonged to the Blue Key National Honorary Fraternity and was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. He is married to the former Judith Ann Porter of Ogden and they have five children. four childrenb, all of whom Kent B. Petersen Ronald G. GEORGE R. WALACE Jeffrey FLAMM Flamm, President of the Associated Students is a 24-year-old senior majoring in Business Administration. As studentbody president, Jeff is a voting member of the Institutional Council. Jeff has seryed as ASWSC Financial Vice President, LDSSA President, Finance Board Chairman, and as a member of Big Sky Athletic Committee. Jeff is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryce C. Flamm who reside in North Ogden. HEINZ J. BRUEHL Robert R. Wallace is the Chief Criminal Deputy in the Weber County Attorney’s Office. After serving in the Army and on an Heinz J. Bruehl is co-owner and vice-president of marketing of Mutual LDS earned a B.A. degree in 1971 with a major in business management. He has been treasurer of the WSC Soccer Club as well as an active team member and a past board member of Ogden Life Underwriter Association. He is first vice president of Air Force Association (Ogden Chapter) and a member of Ogden Logistics Association and Chamber of Commerce. His wife is ¢the former Carole Barrios and they have four children. mission to Berlin, Germany, he attended WSC for three years on a track and cross-country scholarship. He held several records in distance runs and served as an officer in the Excelsior fraternity. He graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in 1971. While a student he served on the Moot Court Board, researched for the State Constitutional Revision Commission, and clerked for a Justice of the State Supreme Court. Benefit Insurance Agency, Inc.
