Show Sunday, February 11, 1934. Went to RS Officers meeting took charge of Presidents department. Mrs NJ Thomas & I called on Blanch Rich a few minutes she came home with me and stayed for awhile. This evening Dr & I went up to Brigham City with Ezra & Annie a beautiful nite. They went up to see Able Rich about having a history written of their father Apostle CC Rich. He was much loved and respected. Monday, February 12, 1934 This AM at eight o clock I attended the Early Bird breakfast at Hotel Ben Loman about two hundred were present, from this breakfast the Community Chest Drive for 35000 started every thing in order. I partly prepared Drs breakfast and he was very willing for me to go. I was not so anxious but having accepted a place on the council was supposed to be present. I did some shopping bought 20 Valentines for the grandchildren sent some to Columbus some to San Francisco some to Wyoming some to Los Angeles & the rest for the children here. Prepared a hot lunch for Dr & he brought Lyle Rich home with him. Did up my house work and went to a cooking school at Junior Central School. Studied this evening. |
