The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Thursday, March 15, 1934. Spent the forenoon at home. Mrs. Nelson Drs patient is doing fine and has been up all day. At 12 PM oclock Mrs. Lydia Tanner and I joined other members of CWA Committee and visited South Washington School to survey the project of giving 115 needy children a warm lunch each day. Found all very satisfactory and hope to continue this project a few weeks longer. Their meal was served nicely & consisted of cream vegitable soup two sandwiches half pint milk & a veg salad. This has been done for two or three montsh or since CWA was launched. Dr and I called to pay our respects to Mrs. John Watson Sen who is 82 yr today also Mrs. Pitcher who is 78 yr old today. Friday, March 16, 1934. A cooler day may storm. At one PM met for lunch with Acacia Club at Maud Porters. A book review South Under the Moon by Rawlins. This may be wrong very interesting. We all called to see Mrs. Dee who is very sick and past 80 yr old. Mrs. Nelson went home today real well. Has been here eleven days. Letter from Mary with cute pictures of David. He is now walking. Approved two maternity cases to go to Dee Hospital for care. thro Mt Ogden Relief Society. Listened to Mary Easton over radio a very beautiful aprons. |
