Show Monday, May 28, 1934. Had a card from Myrene from Denver saying all OK. Recd a letter from State chairman of Republican Com Executive Com aksing me to act on the Pre Convention platform Committee. Think I shall accept. DOrr & family visited me this afternoon. I am feeling some better today. Tuesday, May 29, 1934. We Breakfast late. Am feeling my self again. Cooked trout for lunch also had a nice salad, scaloped potatoes and Becco to drink. Sorry it is not made anymore since liquor came back. It is too bad that beer is so much used and of course brings a greater profit as Becco is more trouble to mak as the alchol was boiled out or evaporated. Joe ahd lunch with us. Had a card from Myrene. They spent Sunday in Kansas City & Independence. Having a nice time. She left the children with good help & they are fine. Elizabeht Thomas spent some time with me this afternoon. Mrs Martha Cooley and Mrs. Ally Pond two of my board members called. Dr & Dr Junior operated on apendix tonight. |
