Show Thursday, December 6, 1934. Did not get up very early. Avon stayed at Myrenes all night. The Mount Ogden Stake party was a real success. About one thousand people present. The guest of the evening was Apostle David O McKay and wife. The Relief Society served about four hundred to ice cream and cake. This afternoon 13 hundred children we given a dancing party and each given a bag of candy and it was a very fine party with Xmas decorations and Santa. I spent the afternoon with Sister Rose Nielson preparing for the evening party. Avon and Myrene have been in Salt Lake all day. Attended a tea at Mrs. George Eccles home. (A house warming.) Friday, December 7, 1934. This AM I met Rose Nielson at Berthanna to clear up after the party last night. Found that we were short 7 silver tea spoons. No doubt taken by some of the crowd for souveniers. We have these to pay for 4.28. After serving one hundred free we will not make much on the refrehsments. Avon prepared a nice hot lunch and my brothers Mark and Earl ate with us. Avon took one oclock train home to Cokeville. We enjoyed her visite. Blanch B Rich is thirty two years old today. I gave her a nice silk gown. Dr & I called to see her. Wrote to Lottie Hendricks. |
