Thursday, February 15, 1934. New Forestry Building opened on 25 & Adams. Have done quite a lot of telephoning. Prepared a nice hot lunch at noon. Dr brought Sister Elizabeth Grew who is 85 years old an a friend whom we think a great deal of because of the sunshine she brings where ever she goes. We made her acquaintance first by her calling at our door to sell articles, soap spices etc. She was always so pleasant & being along in years Dr ask her to have lunch with us when ever she came this way which she did & greatly appreciated it. She has now grown too old to carry on her selling. She spent the afternoon, Listened to radio slept some. I visited with her & read to her. She had supper with us & Dr took her home very happy. Dr went to Medical meeting. Friday, February 16, 1934. Beautiful weather continues. My pussy willow is full of bloom. This AM Miss Christensen gave me a facial. Prepared Drs lunch. I had lunch with Acacia Club. at Joan Emmetts. a full attendance of Ogden members. I gave a paper on Hobbies and at roll call each of the girls answered with what their hobby was. I did some shopping called at the office & came home with Dr. Mrs. Wheelwright called to ask about a survey we are asked to make regarding crippled children. Dr is quite worried over Nevada Ranch must decide whether to pay assessment or let it go. has 70000.00 invested in it and is paying intrest on a third of the money borrowed to put into it.
