Show Tuesday, November 20, 1934. Nev. We stayed at the Humbolt Hotel over night had good beds and rested well. After a fine breakfast were on our way, after a hundred mi we struck some snow but it was not as cold as yesterday. About 2 ft of snow on Trucker Summit. Used chains on car and had to keep going. This morning we drove around the City of Reno a very pretty place. Lovly homes etc. We reached San Matao about 8 PM found Mary and Taylor out for the evening with Cloteel & Thair in San Francisco. The girls drove into SF and took a room at the Clift Hotel. Wednesday, November 21, 1934. San Matao. Dr Thair and family called at Marys quite early to see us. They took us into San Francisco left the children at the Post or hostess house where they are staying until they sail on the 24 of Nov. Dr Thair Dr & Cloteel & I had lunch up town after which she & I went shopping. It is a beautiful day almost too warm for a coat. Pop & Thair went to call on friends. Dr dosent feel very well so he went to bed early and Thair, Cloteel, Myrene, Cleone & I went out to have dinner at the Boat Caf and looked around San Francisco some window shopping etc. Dr and I stayed in the girls room at Clift Hotel and they took intended to go out to Marys. We have had a fine day togather. |
