Show Saturday, July7, 1934. Avon went up to the Hospital for further blood tests. They found she lacks acid in her stomach. She & baby 2 went home to Cokeville in her car this afternoon. At one oclock PM I went to Salt Lake with LeRay Young and we attended the meeting of the Pre State Platform Committee (Republican) Many written & oral planks were suggested. Only 8 of the 15 committee were present. After two hr of discussion we adjorned to meet again Friday eve at Hotel Utah for an open meeting. Today 8 This evening, Mount Ogden Stake Relief Society Board met here for a Board meeting & later a party in honor fo one of our members who graduated in Social Service in June from U of U. Gave her a nice leather bag and served refreshments Janath Russell & Maren entertained in old fasioned costumes. Music & story telling one wore my wedding dress & one a black silk of their great grandmother Rich. Sunday, July 8, 1934. quite warm but home cool. Mary, Oertel & Oscar came back from Salt Lake this afternoon. Dr & I had lunch alone. This evening Oscar spoke on the Book of Mormon and Oertel sang Mary played for her in our ward the 18. Myrene & Kiddies came down for awhile this afternoon. Junior came in this evening. Dr attended Priestood meeting at 2 PM. |
