Show Thursday, October 11, 1934. Buisy a good part of the morning on telephone regarding Relief Society. Dora Holther called. Attended a luncheon at Dicks Caf in honor of Ellen thomas Nelson who was married this week. Was ask to give a short talk which I did very poorly. forty of the Daughters of Pioneers were present and a nice time was had. Encluding myself eight of the past presidents were there. Walked home with Nora Pardoe and Ally Y Pond. Cleone & Royals daughter Claire called she has just won her fourth certificate for reading at the Library. Dr went to Layton to a directors meeting. I spent the evening reading. Friday, October 12, 1934. A warm beautiful day. I wrote to Cloteel. Had a letter from Avon. Had a number of phone calls. House work and meals as usual. At 2 PM attended the funeral Service of Mrs. Winslow Farr the mother of my friend Lettie Manning Dora P Holther walked home with me. Subscribed for Relief Society Magz. for Cloteel. Mrs. Rose Nielson & Mrs. Minnie Shorten called for a few minutes. Also Mrs. Wm Z Terry on buisness. I spent the evening reading the papers. Dr & his brother Ezra are at the office on buisness. This evening Junior, Royal and Cleone called. Carlin Smart our little grand daughter stayed the forenoon with me. |
