Show Monday, March 19, 1934. Made or hord thirteen telephone calls this forenoon. Spent three hours at Community Service Came home did up house work & prepared lunch for Dr. At two PM went to Daughters of Pioneer meeting the first held under the new Pres Dora P Holther. Had a nice long letter from my Sister Lucile in Scarsdale NY all fine. This evening Dr and I went to a concert and dinner at Hotel Ben Loman given by the Arphnmans a group of 40 Wemon local who are doing fine chorus work with Mark Robinson. Tuesday, March 20, 1934. This AM at ten I went down to Community Service to arrange for fifteen women who are in need to be given work at sewing thro Federal Works. They will receive 2.25 for six hr work. We now have 41 wemen serving school lunches in 15 city school. 15 graduate nurses giving service to schools & bed side nursing. Total 71. We have had about 150 working the past three months. Attended RS meeting in 5 Ward. Proverbs & the Psalms given by Lydia Burrows. Spent two hr at CS this afternoon. Did up work and after supper did some writing. |
