Monday, February 19, 1934. Have accomplished very little at home today. Prepared a light breakfast phoned each ward president of Relief Soxiety on visiting home factories this week. Did up house work sat lunch for Dr. I had lunch at Rosella Larkin Pioneer Daughters Pres. with forty or more DUPB members. A very interesting and amuseing programme was given by members of board Ray M Jensen chairman. Mary of the board have worked on some for twenty two years. Five past presidents were in attendance. Amelia H Flygare, Almira C Rich, Nora F Pardoe, Olive M Christensen, Rosella Larkin. All dressed in old fashion costume. Dr & I went to hear the great violinist Benno Rabin of a student of Leopold Aver. Myrene, Junior, Blanch came in after. Tuesday, February 20, 1934. Rained all nite & is still this AM. Virtue cannot grow in solitude, neighbors are sure to grow up around it. I am very happy to enjoy life & health. This afternoon I visited 17 ward RS with Allie Y Pond. Literary lesson was given on the Bible by Violet Grix. The story of Janah was discussed & read. At 430 PM. I attended a meetign at the Community Service with Wemans Com. Mrs. JT Rushner our chairman for the past nine or twelve mo. sent in her resignition which was accepted with regret as she has been very diligent. I was nominated and voted on favorably to act as chairman a job I was reluctant to accept. Dr went to Mutual to give a lesson. Spent the evening reading.
