The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Tuesday, February 13, 1934. Beautiful weather all the tiem. After doing up the house work I read and did some writing until time to prepare lunhc. Mrs. George Lowe and a nother lady came to solicit friends for the Community Chest Dr had all ready given 25.00 so I gave 3.00. Dr took me up to the 12 Ward to Relief Society meeting. About 85 wemen were present. A very nice programme was given Pauline Evans read Jethros Daughter Singing mothers gave several numbers. A fine spirit present. I was ask to release Sister Mable Shurtliff as Sec & Trea which all voted to do. Sister Ida McKell was voted in her place. A nice meal was given in honor of Sister Shurtliff. She was appreciated very much. Have spent this evening on a paper I am to give Acacia Friday. Wednesday, February 14, 1934. At 9 AM I went down to serve giving out clothing at Community Service. Dr called for me at noon I came home and prepared lunch & walked back at 2 PM & served until 5 PM walked over to Quinne Factory to see about cloth pieces for the 5 Ward will have to call again. A 7 PM I went to RS Board meeting at the 12 Ward. Martha & Bro Cooley brought me home. Rosella Larkin gave literary lesson the Bible in the making etc. Myrene & Dr went to a lecture at Junior High by a U of U professor. Did up my dishes for the day looked over papers & retired at 11 PM. Dr Ezra has gone to Cal Cleone brought me violets for my Valentine. She is always dear. A letter from Mary. |
