Show Sunday, March 11, 1934. Officers of RS in Mt Ogden met at 2 PM a good meeting. Several funerals of friends today all of which we called to see at their home. Monday, March 12, 1934. Earth Quake at 8-5 AM Went to Salt Lake City with Cleone & Avon. Dr and I both felt the quake & each of us thot ourself dizzy. one at 11 AM & being in auto on road to SL did not notice it. Called on Mrs. Louise Y Robinson Pres of RS. Spent rest of afternoon shopping with the girls. Cleone bought herself a pair of very fine sable made in neck price 125.00 We had lunch togather and called on Mae Cozzens arrived home. Just in time for me to go to a Community Chest meeting at Ben Loman Hotel. Howard Jenkins Father Kennedy and I were appointed a Com to study or family service plan & make recommendations Tuesday night. the earth quake caused quite a lot of excitement in Salt Lake. Schools closed etc. No one hurt. |
