During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Wednesday, April 4, 1934. At 730 AM went on train to Salt Lake City with several Board members to attend two days General Relief Society Conference. Officers meeting at 10 AM in Bishops Bldg was very fine. 90 percent of our Board Mt Ogden Stak RS were present. A very fine meeting with Pres. Louise Y. Robinson presiding. Myself and board members had a nice lunch togather at the Hotel Utah. Each board member visited the department in which she is teacher this PM at 2 oclock. I visited the social service. Mrs. Amy B Lyman in charge. Womens Place in the Recovery Prog. of US was talked on by Dorothy B Nys wander of U of U also chairman of wemons work of State in REFA Martha Cooley & I stayed over nite at Utah Hotel. Thursday, April 5, 1934. Salt Lake City. Had a nice time at the party given officers of RS in their rooms in Bishops Bld last nite Six B Members returned to Ogden last nite. This AM at 730 I attended Stake Presidents breakfast at Hotel Utah. Met many dear friends who have been serving as I have for many years. It is 12 yr this May since I was made Pres. of Mt. Ogden Stake Relief Society. Previous to this I served as second Vice Pres to Aggie Herrick Stevens in Weber Stake at this time this stake was divided & Mt. Ogden Stake came forth. Have attended both sessions in the Tabernacle Mae Cozzens a sister in law went with me. We had lunch togather and went to a picture show at 5 PM and a Genealogical pagent in picture this evening I stay over nite at her home. |
