Show Pres Anthony W Ivans died at 430 PM. Sunday, September 23, 1934. Meeting at 9 AM for officers bishops, Commissioners of County & FERA, in Pioneer Hall. Magazine Dept in Basment at sometime choir in Tabernacle at same hr. At 10 AM some group with visiting teachers added in tabernacle. I presided lunch at Ben Loman with four RS STake Pres and five visiting Gen. B members General Session at 2 PM in the tabernacle. Four Stake Pres Bro Irvine of N Weber Geo Browning of Weber Thomas McKay of Ogden and Robert I Burton of Mt. Ogden. A very successful conference I am happy it is over. Dr has been alone most of the day. Monday, September 24, 1934. Junior is 35 yr old today. A rather cold day and we have had no heat on until this evening. Dr turned on the gas heat which is a real joy & comfort. Junior and Blanch had dinner with us this evening after which we went to the picture show to see One Knight of Love a splendid show beautiful opera singing. We all enjoyed it very much. Junior is a great comfort especially to his father with whom he has practised for seven years. They get along very well togather. We also enjoy Blanch so much she is a dear girl. It is raining some tonight. The Newspapers are full about the arrest of BRHuptman the one who kidnaped Col. Lindburgs little son and murdering him. |
