Show Friday, October 5, 1934. Had breakfast late. Gladys Knowles came to clean for me but we both listened in to Conference and worked in between. Apostle DO McKay was made one of the presidency of the church today. Ruben J Clark was made first counciler to Pres H J Grant in Anthony W Ivans palce. Bro Hinckley of the Cal Mission was made an apostle, and Bro Hardy one of the seven presidents of seventy. Dora Holther my Sec of RS and I went down town to buy materials for demonstration of book binding to be put over here at my home. 12 Work & buisness teachers were here and six of them bound a year of the Magz. Cleone & Myrene called. Saturday, October 6, 1934. Besides doing my housework I have listened in to General Conference. Worked with pioneer clippings from Tribune have them ready to paste in a book which I hope to do soon. Carlin & Cleone have played here this afternoon. Blanch and I went to see The First Mrs. Fraser at the Little Theater. Local talent. Very good could not go to sleep soon so read some in bed. |
