Show Monday, October 15, 1934. A buisy morning , laundry, house work prepare lunch and ans phone. At 2 PM Royal Cleone, Myrene and I went by auto to Provo to hear Frantz Kresiler the great violinist. His programme was grand. A wonderful treat to hear and see him. About 600 were in attendance. We had a ncie chicken dinner at Chicken Im in South Salt Lake. We came up from Salt Lake in forty five minutes arrived home at twenty minutes of one AM. Tuesday, October 16, 1934. Dr and I did not get up early as I was up so late last nite. We called at the old Burt home to see the remains of Miss Hattie Burt who died suddenly at her work in the Emporium. She had worked in this building for 40 years. A neighbor just thro the block from us for forty years. Had my hair marcelled. Prepared lunch as usual for my sweetheart & self. Memorial Services were held in the 12 Ward for Sister Pearl McFarland. She had been a literary teacher for twenty years in the Relief Society & was much respected & loved. I was one of the speakers. Mrs. Ally Pond. Rose Nielson and I went down town. Dr and I went to the 18 Ward Mutual Bishop Wm Z Terry teach the Doctrine & Covenants this winter we hope to go. |
