Travis Trotta. Around 10 p.m. near exit 349 on 1-15, a Nicholas & Company truck going northbound and pulling two trailers filled with food was pulled over by a UHP trooper after another driver on the road called 911 and reported seeing flames under the second trailer. The driver of the truck quickly disconnected the back trailer and got the truck and the other trailer away from the fire. The burning trailer was destroyed and was towed from the scene. 'All four axles were really hot, and I think we had flames 10 feet above the trailer," Trotta said. Crews from Weber County Fire Department arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. Trotta said the burning trailer contained frozen food and produce. The driver had picked up the trailers in Salt Lake City and was en route to Twin Falls, Idaho, where another driver would relieve him, Trotta said. Trotta said fires like this are common on trailers with faulty brake canisters. "It only takes a half-hour, 45 minutes before they get fire hot," Trotta said.
