Show The Pioneer Post Volume XII Issue 12 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter December 2010 1570 West 400 North - Phone 801-627-1919 CHRIJTMA/ MET/AGE by Delbert Hodson, City Council This past year has gone by quickly and another Christmas season is upon us. What a special time of year this is! Many homes in our community are decorated, adding to the festive spirit. There are family and community parties, which help us enjoy the season. Most families have Christmas traditions that they follow each year. As we observe the birth of Jesus, the spirit of the holidays is evident in the giving all around us. Our children learn as they grow up about the importance of giving. As they start families of their own, they carry on many traditions as well as some new traditions of their own. There are some people who are not as fortunate as others. Let us remember them and do all we can to brighten this season. Our wish from the city is for everyone to have a Merry Christmas season and a happy and prosperous New Year. BREAKFAJT WITH SANTA Santa will visit Marriott-Slaterville on Saturday, December 11, 2010, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Senior Center, 1570 West 400 North. Come enjoy breakfast and meet Santa. The screening process evaluated 46 alternatives for their potential to reduce congestion and delay and narrowed the possibilities from 46 to 14. See the map of the results at http://www.udot.utah.gov/westdavis/maps. These 14 alternatives are now being evaluated to assess their potential community and environmental impacts. The results of this screening process will be shared online and at a series of public open houses in February, 2011. Your participation in the open houses and your comments on the results will be most welcome.
