Show The Pioneer Post Volume XII Issue 11 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter November 2010 SNCW EEA4CVAL Winter snow could soon be here, please drive with caution. Remember snow removal regulations restrict parking on public roads during and after a snow storm. Vehicles parked on the road during or after a snow storm impede snow plowing and may be towed at owner's expense. Also, the most traveled roads in the city are snow plowed first, the least traveled (including subdivisions) are plowed last. Home and business owners with sidewalk are responsible to remove the snow from the sidewalk within 24-hours after a snowstorm. Remove garbage cans from road soon after collection. Community Awards Each year residents have an opportunity to nominate others in the community for our annual awards. This is your chance to recognize someone for going above and beyond as a neighbor, business, contributor, leader, youth, or volunteer. Nominations are now being accepted by the Mayor for the following: The Good Neighbor Award - nominate a neighbor or business that is an exemplary example. Elna Lucas Community Culture/History Award - nominate a person who has contributed to our local community history and culture during the year. H. Orvil Holley Youth Leadership Award - nominate any youth who has shown outstanding leadership. Darrell Mecham Community Service Award - nominate an extraordinary volunteer in the community. The final deadline for nominations is November 30, 2010. Please send your nomination with a short supporting statement to: Marriott-Slaterville City, 1570 West 400 North, MSC, UT 84404. Weber Fire District At Weber Fire District our #1 concern is your safety! By taking some "Preventative Measures" this seasons you can make a safer home.
