Show Obituaries 2010 Richard H. (Dick) Evans This morning, Sunday, 30 May 2010, a few high clouds shaded the glow of the sun and a cool breeze chilled the air while the world lost one of its very finest examples of humanity with dignity. Richard ~ H. (Dick) Evans, 78, passed away at his home sur rounded by his loving family, after a long, valiant battle ^^^^^^ with cancer. Dick was born October 31, 1931 in Corinne, Utah to Horace and Laverne Evans. He married Doris Child Moss in August 1965. He was a member of the LDS Church. As a young man, Dick served his country for 4 years with the US Navy. After his honorable discharge from the service, he attended Weber State College and thereafter began his career in auto mechanics, becoming one of the most well known and highly sought after auto body mechanics in Northern Utah. He was very well known as the owner and operator of Dick Evans Body Shop in Ogden, Utah Dick was loved and highly respected by so many, in addition to his family who literally worshipped him. His natural charm, integrity and wonderful sense of humor set the bar very high for others to match or exceed - and yet throughout his life, he always portrayed that of a very humble and modest man. He consistently demonstrated sincere concern for others, regardless of race, color or creed and was always the first one at the scene to lend a helping hand to those in need. Dick was truly one of a kind. Dick enjoyed professional sports, was an avid Utah Jazz fan, and especially loved playing golf. He never missed an opportunity to tell you all about his most prized golfing achievement a hole-in-one at the Barn.,Golf Course. He also enjoyed spending hours at a time working in his yard, or tinkering in his shop. Clarence Kranendonk, Sr. He was preceded in deatn py his Mother and Father. He is survived by the love of his life, his soul mate, his very best friend- his beloved wife of over 44 years. Additional surviving family members include his sister Carol Mortensen; 1 daughter, Kathy Robbins; 4 sons, Rick Evans, Kris Malloy, Mark Dellam- ore and Steve Dellamore; 11 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. He truly loved and cherished each and every one of his family members more than any personal possession imaginable. The family would like to ex-, press our sincere gratitude and deep appreciation for the outstanding, highly professional care provided to Dick by Hospice Care particularly to Mr. Robert Chandler and his wonderful supporting team. You are all VERY special people and a tribute to your organization. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd., to be followed by a graveside ceremony at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. at 2 p.m. where Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.myers-mortuary.com Clarence (Clix) Kranendonk Sr. passed away July 22, 2010 after fighting a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. He was born September 13, 1935 in Ogden, Utah to William Kranendonk and Josephine Vallinga Kranendonk. (; He lived most of his life in Wilson. He was married to Lyda Mae Merrill. Clix was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. He served as first counselor in the Bishopric, and served two stake missions. He loved working with the Missionaries, and held many other positions. He attended Weber High School and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Rodeo Association, where he was a Champion Bull Rider. He loved the outdoors, where he spent many days at his cabin with his wife and family. He was on the Board of Directors of Sun- ridge Property owners association. Clix loved to hunt, both rifle and archery, he spent many hours in his garden, and shared his crops with many. Clix joined the Military in Oct 1957 where he served his country with the 101st Air Borne Division, at Fort Campbell Kentucky. He made 21 jumps. He retired from Hill Field after 29 years as a Millwright. Surviving are his wife Lyda, four children; Clarence Kranendonk Jr., Deborah (Val) Nicholls, Deanna (WJ) Dean Castor and DeLona (Tom) Jensen, 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Wilford, Raymond and Donald and Sisters Johanna and Josephine. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters and 1 great grandchild. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Launie, Bonnie and Jessica for their loving care. Friends and family may call Monday July 26 , 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday July 27, 2010.
