Show Halloween—October 8-31, 2010 Something spooky this way comes as Halloween nears • Sleepy Millcreek Hollow Gather 'round the Spooky Story Forge to hear some tales that get the shivers creeping up your spine. If that's not enough, take a walk down the Trail of Terror, winding through acres of outdoor and indoor scenes — but watch out for a mysterious rider on horseback. Sleepy Millcreek Hollow opens for its second season Thursday on the grounds of the Utah Renaissance Festival and Fantasy Faire, 3109 W. Pioneer Road, Marriott-Slaterville. A variety of scarecrows will dot the grounds and folks can also browse the village marketplace. "Dracula" and other classic black-and-white horror films will screen at 5 p.m. nightly, says organizer Sue Bodily of Marriott-Slaterville. Storytelling takes place at 7:30 p.m. The hollow is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, through Oct. 30. Admission is $3 per person or $15 for a group of up to six people. Trail of Terror admission is $6, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Pack and Pounce Animal Rescue of Ogden.
