Show Marriott-Slaterville History October 2010 (not in a subdivision). It would improve efficiency in the process and allow the county to ensure the survey is accurate in working directly with the applicants. The city will ensure zoning is followed. Mr. Rowley, Weber County Surveyor, said the city engineer reviews engineering items, but does not handle surveying matters. His office would do that work. The review fee would be paid by the developer to the county surveyor office, and does not cost the city. Larger developments will need an escrow for survey monuments. Once complete, the escrow would be released to the developer. Presently the city approves the plat when the developer then takes to the county. Sometimes there have been problems found by the county and then it must be returned to the city. If plats go to the county first, this problem would be alleviated and time saved. The agreement is valid to 2014, but the city can opt out of it at any time. When a developer brings in a new plat, the city needs to coordinate a review by the county surveyor/recorder. The resolution was approved unanimously by roll call vote. Two road projects were ratified by the Council. He also requested Mr. Ken Martin to consult with the 400 North construction company about tapering off the intersection at 400 North. This project will begin in the summer of 2011. Mayor Butler advised that the city is paying overtime to Weber County Sheriff Deputy A. J.
