Show Marriott-Slaterville History November 2010 Ogden City originally asked $29,000 for the slip line work. However, approximately 375 feet of the project could not be completed because UDOT adjusted the line. Mayor Butler and Mr. Morris negotiated a $5,800 reduction in the cost as a savings for the city. The November 2010 issue of The Pioneer Post reminded residents about the snow removal regulations, which restricts parking on public roads during and after a snow storm. This parking impedes snow plowing. The most traveled roads are plowed first, the least traveled, including subdivisions, are plowed last. Snow must be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours following a snowstorm by home and business owners with sidewalks. Garbage cans should be removed from the road soon after collection. President Ilium would like the city to make sure the fire hydrants remain clear of snow. The Weber Fire District gave us some preventative measures which make a safer home. 1. Properly clean creosote build-up from your chimney. 2. Beware of carbon monoxide, a silent killer. 3. Follow proper cooking instructions to help avoid a fire. Residents again have an opportunity to nominate others for our annual awards. Mayor Keith Butler will accept nominations until November 30, 2010.
