Show March 7, 2010 Meyerhoffer Meyerhoffer Myrna Mey- erhoffer will celebrate her 80th birthday. Friends and family are welcome to attend an open house in her honor hosted by her children from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, at the Marriott-Slaterville Senior Center, 1570 W. 400 North. Light refreshments will be provided. Born in Ogden on March 11, 1930, to Cliff and Marzula Smout, she was raised in Slaterville. The second child of five, she is the only girl among four brothers: Jay Smout, Ronald Smout (deceased), Curtis Smout and Jimmy Smout. Her children are John Panter, Barry and Lisa Panter, Jan and Gene Sase, Melvin and Joan Meyerhoffer, (Eldon deceased) and Linda Meyerhoffer, and Cleora Oliver. She married Calvin E. Panter in 1948 and divorced in 1964. She later married Cleve Meyerhoffer in 1979, gaining three more children. He died in 2005. She worked at Dixie Shops, Greyson's Clothing Store, Boyles Furniture and sold Avon for several years. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1990 after 25 years. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has served in many callings. She participates in the Business and Professional Women's Organization, where she served two terms as president and was chosen Woman of the Year in 1985; the American Business Women's Club, where she was chosen Woman of the Year in 1998; the D.O.E.S. Eagle Auxiliary; the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Gold Star Camp; two pinnacle clubs and the Lakeview Underground Club. She has 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Happy Birthday! A son of Tim and Joann Louth of Marriott/Slaterville, he attends Fremont High School.
