They were narrowed to 14, and can be reviewed on www.udot.utah.gov/westdavis/maps. The alternatives are being evaluated to assess their potential community and environmental impacts, and the results will be shared at open houses in February 2011, and on line. At the December 16, 2010, City Council Meeting, a business license was approved for Welch's Nursery, 337 North 2000 West, for a nursery, produce, and crafts. Ryan Child and Steve Davis, independent auditors, attended the meeting, with Mr. Child reporting the results of the audit performed for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010. He noted that the city is in good financial shape and still has no property tax. He made some suggestions on journal entries and internal control issues, advising that an additional person beside the one who prints checks, sign them, to prevent any risk of abuse. The city exceeded the 18% state cap on revenue, and about $52,000 should be transferred to capital projects. He complimented staff on obtaining grants to help the City financially. The Pioneer Special Service District is also operating within its budget. Following discussion on the audit, the council approved it unanimously.
