Show _ Marriott-Slaterville History June 2010 Some tips to follow: Buy chemicals only as you need them. Always read product labels. Look for labeling such as danger, warning, caution, toxic, corrosive, flammable or poison. Keep hazardous materials in original containers; never remove labels. Dispose of containers properly. Follow manufacturer's instructions. Do not store in food containers. Never mix chemicals as many or incompatible. Keep out of reach of children. Never dispose of them by pouring down any drain (unless made for that purpose). Never pour them into streams or storm drains. Never use hair spray, cleaning solutions, paint, or pesticides near an open flame. The West Davis Corridor Environmental impact Statement is in a new phase on Alternatives Development. The draft can be downloaded at www.udot.utah.gov/westdavis. Alternatives Workshop open houses will be held from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. on June 29, 30 and July 1, 2010. Bits and Pieces Hannah Brandley, Fremont High School,was one of 10 Top of Utah high school seniors recently awarded a $2,300 Service-Above-Self scholarship to Weber State University from the Ogden Rotary Club and the Stewart Education Foundation. She served in several school clubs and started a recycling drive at her school. She lobbied with state legislators regarding anti-tobacco and safety initiatives, was involved with an anti-drinking initiative at the school, raised money for Sub for Santa, and helped organize the Easter Egg Hunt in Marriott-Slaterville. A letter to the editor of the Standard Examiner signed by Stan Jacobson of Ogden, complimented and thanked Sheriff Brad Slater for his great service as Weber County Sheriff. Mayor Keith H. Butler was honored at a celebration of his SO*1 birthday at the Marriott-Slaterville City Hail on June 26, 2010. Among the many congratulations and best wishes received was a special rendition of Happy Birthday by George Garwood, a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and recent mayor of South Ogden City. 141 |
