Show Marriott-Slaterville History October 2010 In September, after several years of service, Lynette Deru was released from her position over the park at the City Offices. She was replaced by Pamela Hunsaker. The City requested UDOT to conduct a signal study for the intersection at 1900 West (S. F. 126) and 700 South, which had been requested by some residents. The study was made earlier this year and UDOT denied the installation of a signal at this time. No further action will be taken until the intersection meets the state's criteria for a signal. Deputy Sheriff A. J. Horting, who patrols our city, has noticed an increase in night-time burglary this year. He suggests that residents consider leaving a porch light on at night to illuminate their home and deter criminal activity. This also helps emergency responders find the home in an emergency. He also advised that garage doors be kept closed.
