GENERAL ELECTRIC WAS ALREADY DIVERSI-FIED, GENERAL ELECTRIC WAS WELL KNOWN TO US AND REPRESENTED THE QUALITIES OF CHARACTER THAT WE IN UTAH INTERNATIONAL HAVE PRIZED. AND I HAD HAD OPPORTUNITY AS A DIRECTOR OF G. E. TO APPRAISE AND HOLD IN THE HIGHEST ESTEEM GENERAL ELECTRIC'S MANAGEMENT, THE MERGER REPRESENTED A SENSIBLE SOLUTION TO UTAH'S PROBLEMS AND IT HAS WORKED OUT WELL FOR ALL CONCERNED, UTAH'S SHAREHOLDERS ARE DEMONSTRABLY BETTER OFF. UTAH CONTINUES TO FUNCTION LARGELY UNDER THE CONTROL OF ITS OWN BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO WHICH G. E.
