Show UTAH CAME TO KNOW-AS HAS BHP-THE PERILS IN AUSTRALIA OF BEING "THE TALL POPPY." I HOPE THAT IN TIME THAT IS AN ATTITUDE THAT WILL CHANGE. AN OVERLY EGALITARIAN SOCIETY IS SELF-LIMITING AND IS DRAGGED DOWN TOWARD THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR. THE SOCIETIES THAT SOAR ARE THOSE THAT LET PEOPLE DARE TO BE DIFFERENT, THAT APPLAUD AND REWARD THOSE WHOSE ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE EXTRAORDINARY, THAT LET THE INDIVIDUAL RISE TO HIS OR HER FULLEST POTENTIAL. THE TALL POPPY SHOULD BE AN ENDURING INSPIRATION FOR ALL TO SEE AND ADMIRE. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I AM GENUINELY GRATEFUL TO YOU WHO HAVE HONORED ME HERE THIS EVENING. IT HAS BEEN AN EVENT THAT I WILL LONG TREASURE - THE MORE SO BECAUSE IT WAS GIVEN BY GOOD FRIENDS THAT I HOLD IN HIGH ESTEEM AND IN GREAT AFFECTION.
