I ALSO MUST GIVE THANKS TO UTAH'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHO PERFORMED AS THE BEST BOARDS ARE EXPECTED TO PERFORM. WHEN I FIRST JOINED THE BOARD, IT COULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED PAROCHIAL SINCE VIRTUALLY ALL OF ITS MEMBERS WERE FROM THE STATE OF UTAH AND REPRESENTED THE FOUNDING FAMILIES. BUT AMONG THEIR NUMBERS WERE SOME VERY CAPABLE PEOPLE AND IN THEIR DELIBERATIONS THEY WERE ALWAYS CONSCIOUS OF THE FACT THAT THEY WERE BETTING WITH THEIR OWN MONEY.
