The Weber County Chapter of the Red Cross began in December 1915 when a small group of individuals gathered to begin organizing a chapter of the Red Cross. In 1962, the name was changed to the Bonneville chapter, and in 1969, the chapter merged with other chapters in Northern Utah to become the Northern Utah Chapter, with its headquarters located in Ogden, Utah. The scrapbooks range from 1940 to 2003 and highlight some of the important work of the Red Cross. The books include photographs, newspaper clippings, and other materials. |

Show Mr. E. C. Burgeson, Mgr. Salt Lake County Chapter American Red Cross Beason Bldg. Salt Lake City, Utah My dear Mr. Burgeson: Yesterday I contacted Mr. Bernie Diamond, First Security Bank Building, to ascertain if his company would grant you permission to solicit the employees of the Certified Warehouse & Transfer co. for contributions. He stated that he had nothing to do with this company, his only connection being that the Salt Lake Office had rented space in the warehouse building. He also said that he had made a small contribution from his firm here and it was up to the Salt Lake City man to make his own contribution. Wish you luck in your campaign.
