3. College units A fully organized branch of the chapter. Two parties were given at the veterans hospital at Salt Lake, where refreshments were served and the Musettes and Dorian singers furnished the entertainment. The journalism class at the college is responsible for publishing a quarterly Red Cross bulletin, giving activities of your chapter. Junior Red Cross The schools of Weber County are fully organized and each child contributes a penny for the Junior Red Cross magazine, which costs .50 per room. The youngsters sent 1200 beautifully wrapped Christmas boxes to children overseas. These being the only gifts some children received. Many letters of appreciation were sent to various schools. Albums showing customs and manners of people in the United States, were exchanged for those of other countries. Menu cards were made for servicemen on ships at Christmas and Thanksgiving time. These children will be our citizens of tomorrow and the good they spread now may be the source of bringing peace to the future world. Canteen corps The ladies of this corps have cooked and served meals to two no host luncheon meetings and they stand fully organized to act in emergency.
