The Weber County Chapter of the Red Cross began in December 1915 when a small group of individuals gathered to begin organizing a chapter of the Red Cross. In 1962, the name was changed to the Bonneville chapter, and in 1969, the chapter merged with other chapters in Northern Utah to become the Northern Utah Chapter, with its headquarters located in Ogden, Utah. The scrapbooks range from 1940 to 2003 and highlight some of the important work of the Red Cross. The books include photographs, newspaper clippings, and other materials. |

Help You 'BATTLE' THEME Final Get-Togetlier Slated By Red Cross for Today "Come back bearing proudly your shield—or upon it" ancient j commanders grimly bade their chieftains off to battle. Transformed into milder form, that is the keystone of a very lovely and social tea dated for Monday at 3 p.m. at Newhouse hotel—guests to be the sectional and district lead¬ers in the women's division of the approaching annual Red Cross drive. It is a final get-togther be¬fore the "all out" gun is fired. Salt Lake's chapter of the American Red Cross sponsors the tea which will have the president's room as its setting. General chairman is Miss Janet Ossman who also is chairman of the women in the residential division work. Her cochairmen are Mrs. S. Morgan Sorensen and Mrs. Richard W. Madsen. During the tea hours there will be a pertinent address and pep talk by Leroy D. Simmons, chairman of Red Cross board of directors. Among the well-known guests will be the heads of six large residential divisions, where house to house canvassing will be conducted during the drive. District A has for. chairmen, Mrs, Prank S. Makin and Mrs. Victor Epperson; District B, Mrs. Elwood Bachman and Mrs. Robert B. Swaner; District C, Mrs. S. D. Caplan; District D, Mrs. Eugene MacKinnon; Dis¬trict E, Miss Janice Overfield; District F, Mrs. Herbert W. Sin¬gleton and Mrs. Alah E.
