ONE YOU HAVE ALREADY HEARD FROM, NAMELY BILL MILLER, BUT I WOULD LIKE HIS WIFE PAT TO RISE AND BE RECOGNIZED. A GREAT ADDITION TO THIS BOARD AN THIS COMMUNITY IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE BECHTEL CORPORATION AND HIS WIFE OBIE. GEORGE SHULTZ COULD NOT BE HERE THIS EVENING BUT WE ARE WE ARE ALSO FORTUNATE TO HAVE WITH US FORTUNATE to HAVE WITH us THE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF HEWLETT-PACKARD COMPANY, JOHN YOUNG AND HIS WIFE ROSEMARY. BEFORE BRINGING THE EVENING'S FESTIVITIES TO A CLOSE, I WOULD LIKE TO PAY TRIBUTE TO TWO GENTLEMEN WELL KNOWN TO YOU ALL. EACH IS LEAVING A POSITION OF RESPONSIBILITY HE HAS HELD WITH SRI FOR MANY YEARS. AFTER 30 YEARS WITH SRI, DR. DON R. SCHEUCH RETIRED FROM HIS POSITION AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN JANUARY THIS YEAR. |
